PolarPro: Headless Shopify
A headless Shopify store for premium filters, backpacks and gear for drones, smartphones and cameras, built and maintained over several years.
The brief
PolarPro sells to content creators and filmmakers. A store like this needs fast browsing across a detailed catalogue and a way to configure products.
It also carries a large marketing stack, and none of that can slow the shopping experience down.
What we built
We built the store on Gatsby and GraphQL, using the Shopify Admin and Storefront APIs, with a product configurator for camera equipment and Rust microservices for data processing.
Algolia powers search, with filters made for camera gear. Storyblok lets the marketing team manage products, blog posts and landing pages.
Klaviyo, Yotpo, SendGrid and the affiliate and loyalty tools are connected to the store, and CI/CD runs on Docker and Netlify.
The result
Across a multi-year engagement we delivered and maintained PolarPro's headless commerce platform, including ongoing performance work, new features and technical support.
